Analysed 140 surveys from pediatric powered mobility providers
representing 46 states by performing factor analysis. Developed
a “model” of the current provider practices. Currently
preparing manuscript reporting results of survey .2) Recruited 27
children for project: One child has complete model, pre-testing,
wheelchair delivery, and post-testing; six children have had wheelchair
recommended/ordered (waiting on funding for chair to be delivered);
eleven did not use pass the screening phase of the model and were
placed on 3 to 6 months follow up; two new subjects have been scheduled
to be seen in August or later; six have been lost to follow up due
to parent’s withdrawal form study, exceeding age limits before
ready to participate, or not being appropriate for powered mobility
once screened; and one expired. 3) Conducted numerous in services
and professional presentation.
